Best Surgery Shelf Exam Tutoring Service

What is the surgery shelf exam?

Traditionally it is believed that the surgery shelf is heavy on GI topics. In fact, GI, hepato-biliary, and trauma are some of the topics that are frequently tested on the surgery shelf exam. It is imperative to do your best and to pay attention during your clerkship: in the OR, on pre-rounds, on rounds, and in clinic. You will learn a great deal by knowing your patients well, by being having a good grasp on their pathophysiology. Unfortunately, patient exposure is not sufficient preparation for the shelf exam: chances are, you will not see everything that you are going to encounter on the test. You cannot leave that up to luck. For that reason, it is also important to have an organized study schedule outside of your rotation. This is where your tutor comes in! We will also keep you motivated at the end of those long days on the surgery clerkship. You may not feel like going through questions after being awake since 4 AM, but we will be right there by your side, getting you through.
